The Raven

by Edgar Allan Poe.

This narrative poem, first published in 1845, is probably his most famous work. Illustrations are from the 1884 edition, illustrated by the French artist Gustave Dore. Both artists' works are in the public domain, and all music is from the free YouTube audio library.

Containing such famous lines as "Once upon a midnight dreary" and "Quoth the Raven, Nevermore", and made famous by such 20th century artists as Vincent Price and Sir Christopher Lee, it is also one of the classic horror stories, and aspect of the poem that I hope this video embodies for everyone.... enjoy!
