NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Tuesday said that at a time when India's voice and local products are going global, the country's media industry also needs to go global"Indias local products are going global. India's voice is also becoming more global. The world listens to India more intently. India has a strong presence on every international platform. In such a situation, the Indian media also needs to go global, PM Modi said. The media, the Prime Minister said, has served people in an "unprecedented way" by spreading awareness on the coronavirus and by analysing government works and pointing out their shortcomings. Though the media is also criticised at times, more so in this age of social media, everybody needs to learn from criticism, he said, adding this is what makes India's democracy strong.
