Using a LAN
There are two options you can choose using Java Edition or Windows 10/ Xbox. Now let’s begin with the Java Edition.
First, you have to select the host computer. Choose the fast one that able to run a server as well as play the game. By having this, you can invite other players to join you.
Continue by launching the game and take a Single Player option. You may select to create your new world or play the existing game. After you enter, push Esc and choose Open to LAN.
There are three options you can select, survival, creative, and adventure. Next, continue by selecting Start LAN World. Once you have other players, they can select the Multiplayer option from the same network.
For the Windows 10/ Xbox option, you and other players have to get the same network. After that, you can select the device that becomes a host.
Continue by pressing the Play button. Then, select the Pen to create a new world or play the existing game. Next, choose the Visible to LAN Players.
You can choose whether Create or Play. Other players can join by selecting the Friends button using any available LAN games.
Using Online Server
This part also serves you with two options. You can select between Java Edition or Windows 10/ Consoles. Let’s start with the Java Edition option.

Using a Realm

For the Java Edition, you can open your Minecraft and choose Minecraft Realms. Choose the one to Create and Configure player Realm. Then, enter the new one or continue your last game, and double-click on it.
For other platforms, you can start by opening your Minecraft. After that, you can select Play and Create New. Then, proceed by tab the New Realm.
Players can select any name and size for their realm. Continue by tab Create. Once this new realm is available, you can invite friends to join it.
Using Split Screen
Split Screen provides you with an exclusive console feature. So, you may play it with the other three players on the same screen at the same time.
